SMART Technologies Training
The Audio Visual Company in partnership with SMART Technologies and the Hawaii Department of Education (HDOE) is proud to present three unique and practical courses through the HDOE's PDE3 (Professional Development Experiences that Educate and Empower):
- Teach SMARTer with Notebook 10 – the emphasis of this course will guide the beginner and intermediate level Notebook users through the vast tools and strategies for using SMART Notebook, SMART Boards and related technologies within their classrooms
- Comprehensive Assessment with SMART Response – in this class, participants will be introduced and guided through SMART Response systems (“clickers” and SMART Teacher Tools software) for effective and efficient assessments in the classroom.
These courses will be led by Kimble McCann, AVCO's first SMART certified Educational Consultant. As an experienced educator, Kimble has served over seven years in the public and non-public sector teaching students in a variety of K-12 settings. After receiving his teaching credentials and dual-masters in Special Education and Computer Education & Technology Leadership, Kimble relocated to Hawaii to pursue his doctorate in Educational Technology at UH Manoa. Kimble is currently researching universal design for learning, assistive technologies, and CREDE standards for effective pedagogy.
